LABELANE · AI20K research proof of concept

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 14 October 2026

This policy explains what information the LABELANE project team collects, how we use and share it, and the choices available to you when you visit labelane.io.vn or use its signed-in research workspace.

Who operates LABELANE

LABELANE is a research proof of concept developed by the project team in the AI20K program at VinUniversity. For questions or privacy requests, contact the team at 26ai.hungnn2@vinuni.edu.vn.

Information we collect

  • Account information. If you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information such as your name, email address, profile image (if provided), and account identifier. LABELANE uses this information to create and maintain your account and attribute your work.
  • Sign-in and device information. Authentication records include session identifiers and expiry, and may include your IP address and browser user agent for session security and operation of sign-in.
  • Workspace information you provide. This may include dataset and version names, descriptions, uploaded ADAS images and image metadata, imported prediction files, labels and review notes, evaluation settings and results, and records of who created or changed an item.
  • Messages to us. If you email the team, we receive the address and information you include in your message.
  • Preferences stored in your browser. The site saves your light, dark, or system theme choice in local storage. This preference is not sent to LABELANE as account or workspace data.

The site stores your selected language in a preference cookie for one year. This browser-specific setting is separate from your account and is not used for advertising.

How we use information

We use this information to provide Google sign-in, maintain sessions, operate and secure the dataset and evaluation workspace, preserve research results and their provenance, respond to inquiries, and diagnose service problems. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising.

Shared workspace and research data

The signed-in LABELANE proof of concept is a shared workspace: information added there may be visible to other signed-in users. Creator and author details provide attribution; they do not make workspace records private to their creator. Do not upload information that you are not authorized to share with other workspace users.

The current chat is a browser-based demonstration using simulated responses. Chat messages are not saved to LABELANE’s server by this demo, and the demo does not send them to an external generative AI provider. This may change if the product adds real model processing; we will update this policy before that functionality is made available.

Cookies and similar technologies

Google sign-in and session management use authentication cookies that are needed to keep you signed in and protect your account. The site also uses browser local storage for the theme preference described above. We do not use these mechanisms for advertising.

Service providers and disclosure

We rely on Google to authenticate your account and Cloudflare to host the application and provide database and image storage. These providers process information as needed to deliver their services under their own privacy and security terms. Service requests and operational diagnostics may also be processed by the hosting provider for security, reliability, and troubleshooting. We do not otherwise disclose workspace information except when needed to operate the service, when you ask us to, or when required by law.

Retention and your requests

LABELANE is a research proof of concept and does not currently provide a self-service account or workspace deletion feature or a fixed retention period for workspace records. We retain information while it is needed to operate the proof of concept and preserve research provenance. You can email us to request access, correction, or deletion of information associated with you. We may need to verify your request and may retain records where necessary to meet legal obligations or preserve the integrity of shared research results.

You can also review or revoke LABELANE’s access from your Google Account’s connected-app settings. Revoking that connection does not by itself delete information already held by LABELANE.

Security and international processing

We use the access controls and security features of our hosting and authentication providers to protect information. No internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure. Google and Cloudflare may process information in countries where they or their service providers operate, subject to their applicable terms.

Children’s privacy

LABELANE is a research tool and is not directed to children. Please contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information to the service.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as LABELANE changes. We will post the current version on this page and revise the date above.
